Fasting Numbers are High

My fasting numbers are way high, 152 this morning. Waht most affects them? Maybe the chips I eat before bed? Hm....suggestions?

Exercise! Gotta reduce the insulin resistance as much as possible, particularly if you've got one of those wee hours of the night livers that dump glucose for no good reason. Yes, watching what you're eating in general is important too - potato chips are not a really good choice morning noon or night (if it's potato chips you're eating and not tortilla chips or dried apple chips or french fries or Sun Chips, those whole grain crackery type things, or chocolate chips or whatever other 'chips' you might be eating). If you need a pre-bed snack, go toward proteins more - a couple low carb crackers with some cheese for instance or a handful of nuts, something like that which will alleviate the hungries if you've got'em but won't slam into your blood sugar levels.

Misty, what kind of chips are you eating and how many?
So far the pregnancy is going good as far as I know.

Misty, I will listen
Misty,
Because you are pregnant you need more meal planning help from a dietitian and also need the help of an high risk OB-GYN. I really can't tell you what the insulin requirements are and how to adjust either your food or your insulin. Can you call your physician on Monday and hopefully someone is in the office on Christmas eve. This is a really important time in your pregnancy and you need a physicians help. I don't mean to scare you, just to help you get the answers from the right place.
After you talk to your physician could you please post back here what s/he tells you to do.
In the meantime I hope you have a wonderful holiday.
Thanks everyone for the great advice.
