Hello ,
I decided to post a message on this board in hope of some positive feed back about diabetes and pregnancy. I also have posted on recurrent pregnancy loss board. I am 28. I have had type one diabetes since the age of 12. I recent within the past 2 years have lost 2 sons. One on Feb. 1 2007 at23weeks gestation and one Feb 7th 2008 at 26weeks gestation. The first loss supposedly was cause by diabetes and preclampsia? The second no answers yet. I DO NOT belive my losses were cause from my diabetes or blood pressure. I have an insulin pump I check my blood sugar 8-10 times a day even in the middle of the night my a1c have been between 6.5 and 6.1 When I was pregnant I faxed my glucose level to my endocrinologist weekly. I did everything. I am just looking for some advice/encouragement ! Any success stories with diabetes , high blood pressure (never went down since 1st pregnancy) , and having a health crying baby???

Hi and welcome to the board.
Hi and welcome to the board.
I, too, have not walked down the street that you are traveling on. I decided not to have children because of some heritary problems and never in my life expected to be a third generation diabetic. But we do have several women on this board who have had healthy babies while being diabetics. Two had the pump but the rest are on insulin by injection.
Misty is pregnant right now and I am sure you saw her postings about her pregnancy. It is harder to have a baby with diabetes but you were doing everything right. I am so sorry that it didn't work out and I am sure you feel like your heart has been torn in two.
So please watch because I am sure some of the others will also respond to your message.
A very gentle hug,

Hi Misty -
Thanks for your post. I think you might have me mixed up with mom_angel2 who has had the 2 miscarriages.
I was looking for encouragement though and your story is a postive one for me since I am TTC, and just started insulin.
