But that depends on what you mean by "cooking". Most stuff is olive oil (tossed with pasta for instance) but we also use canola (cheaper than olive oil when we use a lot of it) and when we stir fry we use peanut oil because it can handle the high temperature without breaking down or smoking. When we bake bread, we use olive oil instead of butter or shortening and we use agave syrup instead of sugar.
