I check them before I put my socks on in the morning and again when I remove my socks before bed. As an added bonus, my hubby knows how much I enjoy foot massages so he also is "familiar" with my feet and is quick to note rough spots, puffiness around the feet and ankles, toenails that seem to be getting too long, and anything that doesn't feel "like usual", plus while he's rubbing around on my feet, anything that hurts gets a quick look-see (like if my heel gets a scrape somehow, I might not have noticed it if it happened after my evening foot check but it'd get noted when he rubs my feet).

Similarly, he keeps an "eye" out for anything that feels unusual on my breasts (and really any part of me) just as I keep an eye on him. Makes sense - we know each other's bodies intimately and sometimes one will notice something that the other just ignores or 'got used to' or whatever.

I am so glad to see that most of us check our feet quite regularly. It is so important for diabetics to check their feet because often you can have an injury and not feel it until too late. You need to treat your feet like crown jewels. Diabetes is the number one cause of foot and leg amputations and often this can be prevented with simple foot maintenance.
