Hi am type 2 and am on the pills and insulin and my body is making some insulin, and my sugar levels are still high what i am asking is if my body is making some insulin what can my dr do about that???

It is probably due to insulin resistance.
Hi there!
Welcome to the board. There are several things that your doctor can do about this. One is to add another medication, such as glipizide to the mix, another is to add in Byetta or Januvia. Of course carb counting would help you and so would exercise. I hope that you are on metformin as that is the gold standard for care for type 2 diabetics now. If you aren't on that drug, it could be added in also.
What insulin are you on and how much? Do you know what your A1C reading is and when was it last tested?
