Your numbers are a wee bit high.
I agree with Cheryl. Sometimes the first notice that we have that we are getting sick is a non-specific elevation of our blood sugars. So watch and contiue to check and if it continues call your doctor's office. Also if you get some exercise it most likely will come down since it really isn't that bad.
I kind though I may need to take more insulin.be that I am only on 1-2units per meals. and now I have to wait to call my Dr because I am in the middle of change mine I see my new one at the end of june

Hi
I forgot that I can call my CDE.
I though I would have to wait to June bee that I am see a new Endocrinology and I haven't meet her yet so I didn't think she would be able to help until she see me . I am going to start right every thing down again and if my bs is going high I going to call to see if I can get in early .
I was getting high blood sugar readings as soon as I started to eat the food I am supposed to eat, which for me is low fat.
Hi and welcome to the board.
You have come to a group of people who try to live their lives to the fullest and to take care of themselves. But I will warn you there are no angels around here! We can all make a mess of things periodically!! But we learn and hopefully won't make the same mistake again.
I too am amazed that I can drive my car and even park it with a blood sugar in the 50's. Not that I recommend that anyone do this. At about 52 though I can't make a decision about anything. My husband, who is also diabetic, has learned to just feed me when I can't figure out what I want to eat or drink and I guess have a spacey look on my face. Apparently I look pretty bad when my blood sugar drops too much but I haven't programmed my brain to look in a mirror. I just try to keep this from occurring.
So please pull up a chair and join our conversation. I think you will find that we are a nice group of people.
