Good morning!

I have been reading some information about supplementing with cinnamon to help control blood glucose levels.

Does anyone have experience with it, either good or bad, that they would be willing to share?

Thanks!

Just dropping in. Here is some info for ya about Cinnamon. Hope it helps! One thing I have heard is that often the cinnamon that you buy at the store is not really cinnamon. Take care, Laura

I read an interesting article in our local paper which said that cinnamon does not help lowering the blood sugar for diabetics.

The study done by UCLA said that it had to be Saigon Cinnamon. I don't how difficult it is to get this variety of cinnamon. One of the other posters said that it is quite strong in taste.

The problem with all the nutricuticals is that the dosage isn't established and the results vary from person to person. Most of them seem to help early in the disease and not to long time diabetics. I suspect that this is the result of the effects of insulin resistance on the body's cells.

I have been chewing cinnamon sticks for about 3 months. I have noticed an improvement in my health and weight loss. According to what I have read, 1 teaspoon a day is supposed to bring down your blood sugar. I chew the cinnamon sticks because it gives me the cinnamon and helps with the stress.

Hi,

my friend told me she uses Cinnamon tablets over ( the counter ) and she is able to see much better now.

Just be careful with the mg, you take. Start with a small amount less then 50 mg.
