I'm Hungry.......

I'm really hungry!  I ate breakfast.  My no sugar, higher fiber cranberry oatmeal.  (my glucose was higher this am too).  I checked my glucose 2 hours after the oatmeal and do not like my results.  It was 36 points higher.  The oatmeal has only 21 grams of carbs and I think 5 or 6 grams of fiber and only 1 of sugar.  I have been drinking sugar free cidar mix but.....

My stomach is about to growl.  I am uncomfortable.  It isn't even 9:30.  How will I make it to lunch?  I have felt this way the last week........  I wish it would go away!  (oh, it doesn't matter what I eat for breakfast)

Oooh those sound yummy! I'll have to look for them when I'm shopping this weekend.

Under 100 is where I start getting uncomfortable - if I get down near 90 I get a little shaky. I try to keep pre-meal readings between 90 and 110 and post meal under 140 (with the added factor of trying to keep the pre vs post change to less than 40 so a premeal of 90 and a post meal of 135 is technically okay on the individual readings but a pre of 90 and a post of 120 is better on both criteria).

All Bran also has a multi grain I think it was but it didn't have as much fiber.

Oh yeah - I am rarely under 115-125 first thing in the morning, that old 'dawn syndrome'. The only times I'm under 110 when I wake up is if I've overslept or my period is starting right that morning. In both cases, I feel lousy (grumpy, clammy, shaky). I'm happy if I get a reading of 115 before breakfast.

I picked up the multigrain over the weekend - a little less fiber but a lot less sodium (DH is on meds for hypertension so we have to balance all things). They're tasty so they'll probably end up on our 'regular' list.

Thanks for the tip - I might never have spotted them in the crowded crackers and cookies aisle if I wasn't looking for them (I try not to 'browse' that aisle, just focus on one or two target items and get moving)

I was browsing because of your suggestion of crackers!
