Hubby is doing better but he is still in ICU. Something is going on that won't allow him to eat and his heart rhythm has stabilized but over all it is looking much better for him. I have no idea when he will be coming home form the hospital.

Thank you all for your concern and words of support. They mean so much to me. I am extremely tired and don't have much energy but I will be around here as much as I can. I am trying to take good care of myself but it isn't easy!

Remember if you don't take care of you, you wont be able to take care of anyone else!!!

Probably with so many things going on, that sort of does a number on your energy!!

As that cute kitten card that comes in so many versions says...hang in there(the one with the kitty hanging on to the knot at end of rope!!

I'm so glad to hear he's doing better! I hope they figure out why he's not eating.

Hi Trish,

I got him home yesterday and he did pretty well until the middle of the night. He started with the nausea and vomiting again. I have had to hold meds today, stop others and go the pharmacy and get still another. And the home health RN was supposed to be here but I have heard nary a word from them. I ahve given him a shower and taken for a walk in the garden. At this moment he is sleeping. Now his oldest daughter is coming with her ex-husband and I have cook dinner for everyone. I am bushed!! But over all he is doing much better.

I think if I were in your place, I'd send those 'guests' out to get some take-out to bring home to you!

What should have happened is they should have BROUGHT dinner with them and looked after her dad so Mary Frances could have rested, had time for herself without having to be so watchful.

Hi Cheryl,

Dear Hubby is napping and so I am able to check my email! The home health nurse came today. She is concerned about his lungs, his wobbliness and his liver (he's a little jaundiced). The leg is really swollen that they took the blood vessel out of. She doesn't want me leaving him but for a few minutes until at least Wednesday.

DD decided she didn't want dinner because she ate a late lunch! But the ex-hubby look out my recycling and year bins which was a help. Those suckers are too heavy for me to be pushing around. The other daughter hasn't called or been here!

I am getting really tired again and so I think Abby and I will go take a nap before getting DH up for his walk. At least it is a really pretty day around here without much wind.

I'm sorry to hear about your guests and DH's leg swelling up. My dad had heart surgery last year and he is in his late 80's. It was the same thing, he was wobbly, his leg and foot kept swelling up and a bunch of other things. We didn't think he'd ever be the same but now he is doing great. He walks fine, goes out, drives, you name it! It just takes a few weeks for all the kinks to work out.
