Hi! My name is Lisa and I'm 28 years old. I found out in 2004 that I have type 2 diabetes. I am on Metformin 2 times a day for it and right now it's doing pretty good because I have just recently lost over 30 pounds.
My question is.. I found out Wed. that I have a really bad kidney and urinary infection. The Dr. put me on Bactrim twice a day for 7 days. I have taken 7 out of the 14 pills. And not really feeling too much better. Should it have already started working or because I'm diabetic am I having a harder time getting over it. Or have I just not given it enough time? I have been drinking Lite Cranberry juice also. I'm so willing to try anything!
Also the Dr. gave me 2 Diflucans. One to take with the first dose and one to take with the last dose.. Because I always get a yeast infection from antibiotics. And i am trying not to get one of those because it is so hard to get rid of with me!
I'm so sorry I seem to be rambling.. I'm just hurting and not really sure if the medicine is not working or I'm being impatient.
Thanks soooo much in advance!!

Try some nonfat plain yogurt to reintroduce good bacteria, because Antibiotics knock out your good bacteria.
And cranberry capsules are helpful.
