Last week for it got nasty outside(cold, snowy and icy) I did walk on my break around the park next to us.  Did that 3 days.

This week I have so far made it to the Y Monday, Tuesday and last night!   I will confess I was probably a little carried away. Did 65 minutes the first 2 nites and last nite only 55 minutes(the only reason it was less is Y closes at 10pm so I HAD to leave!!)

All nites I used a mix of machines including arm cycle and a new thing that is called an Arc Trainer(from Cybex).  Another one of those sturdy machines. I looked on line and the machine is over 350 lbs!! much cheaper than my favorite Precor elliptical which refurbished runs about $3800!!  A new one of this is for sale on ebay for ONLY $2700!!  Odds are about as good I can aford to buy either!!!

Yeah, Nancy has gone back to the Y! I made it into Curves 4 times this week but I won't make it in tomorrow. Keep up the good work Nancy and I am sure you will feel better in all ways.

This coming week could be a challenge, and I am likely to be cranky! Found out last week the head gasket was going and planned to drop it off wednesday morning and get it back in the afternoon. BUT the oil indicator went up on friday so i called to see about getting it in before Wednesday and found out it will take longer than they thought and require van overnite. We have freezing rain today so I know walking to work will not be doable! Did move repair to Tuesday and am hoping if all else fails I will be able to get rides from coworkers! BUT will have to stay at work at noon for sure, and that is always hard on my bad knees!

Hoping since I will have to stay home the one night for sure will get the living room shifted around some and have the energy to use the WATP tapes by Leslie Sansone instead!Even if i have to do it at slower speed than they do on the TV(I dont walk anywhere near 4 miles an hour which is why those tapes are hard for me).

But work is so really crazy now, I really have to get exercise AND listen to relaxation tapes to keep from getting too stressed out.

At least with 2 weeks under my belt, that gives me some momentum to keep going this week!
Sorry for the small font in this message, it took 2 different attempts to get on line without freezing up.

Nancy,

Sorry to read about your car troubles.

Take it easy and do the best that you can. We are having a winter storm here with about 1/2 inch of rain and snow in the hills. That will be heading your way soon. So be warned!

I can't do the tapes either because they are too fast for me also. I can't even watch them anymore since the ones that I had are VHS and I don't have a player anymore.

Do you get extra days off during the time between Christmas and New Years? We are supposed to but with all the mess the agency is in right now I will be going to work. I am beginning to feel like I can't wait to retire.

Take care and I hope to hear from you soon,

It could be worse, at least I am pretty sure I have enough money to cover the repair, and since it is not gonna be cheap that is sorta a miracle!!

Also am guessing I will get more hours in at least the 2 days van is in for repair!

"I know stressful as my job is, it also has one big advantage!! Sort of like your job MaryFrances, I am sure when things start getting to you, those clients you deal with remind you how much harder things COULD be!! We both have health insurance and jobs and both are still walking, albeit not very fast !"

It is really not the clients that bug me but rather my

Often seems like management gets promoted up to the level of being ineffective!
