We had a Dr. appointment on Thursday; the nurse called me on Fri. morning to let me know that my A1c was 5.6!  That surprised me, because I had a few days that I wasn't happy about.

DH wasn't exactly planning to go for a check-up himself, but I called the Dr's. office and asked if they could see us both.  I distinctly remembered him complaining at least three times about 'chest pain'.  I thought that shouldn't go un-noticed.  They did an EKG, and have him scheduled for a Thallium Stress test.  He isn't exactly happy about what I got him into, but that beats being hauled to the hospital in an ambulance one night.  I don't know what the Dr. saw on the EKG strip, but he gave an Rx for Nitroglycerine to get 'just in case'.

I don't need a stress test...I'm in one.

I took my little darling to the vet. She was good for the first 15 minutes of the wait when she decided she had had enough and started growling and hissing! She has regained 8 ounces to the weight that she lost. The vet thinks that it might be the high protein food that she recommended so Abby is back on just Royal Canin and I am to collect a stool specimen for testing. If they find anything she might be put on an antibiotic (metroniazol...sp!!) and if that doesn't stop it then she will get a colonoscopy. I am sure Abs will enjoy that!! But she said in many cats they don't know why they have bleeding and it mysteriously starts and stops. I am to take her back in a month if things don't get better.

I am really glad that she has gained back some the

The thin hair in front of the ears is usually a sign of Notoedric mange (I might have forgotten exactly the spelling on that.)
