Elevated liver enzymes & Rhogam!??

I am a 31 yr old healthy female. I have a 2.5 yr old and a 5 mo. old. In both of my pregnancies I was afflicted after 28 or so weeks of pregnancy w/ severe upper rib pain towards my back/right side. My OB and orthopedic said it's just preg. pains. It felt like a 4" knife that would come and go. Sitting usually made it worse. As soon as I delivered, the pain went away.

I am RH- bloodtype. I had the Rhogam injection w/ both pregnancies. With DD, she's RH+, so I had the repeat Rhogam when she was 2 days old. I just read something on the internet about Rhogam causing liver damage. Have you heard of this???

I was recently told at my physical that I have elevated ALT and AST. The #'s are around 56-89 (rising and falling all the time) for the ALT and between 40-50 for the AST. Normal is from 5-40 for both. I am in good health, breastfeeding, taking Prenatal vitamins (that's it), but occasionally suffer from fatigue, nausea (vitamin related?), bouts of diarreah (IBS?)..sensitive stomach.

The Dr. tested me for hepatitis and all came back as negative.

What could be causing my rising liver enzymes? My family Dr. has referred me to a Gastroenterologist. My appt. is on 9/14. I am nervous about the exam and results. What are the chances this is gallbladder (due to sensitive stomach).

Any advice for me? Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I feel much better now.

It seems to me to be gall bladder related too.

I'll let you know what the Dr. says come Tues.

Thanks again!
