9 months after GB surgery, still in pain
| Sun, 09-12-2004 - 6:05pm |
I had my GB out (lapro) in Janurary I still have the same pain in my upper right side, mostly after eating. Any ideas?
My diet is low in fat as I am trying still to lose weight.

Maybe its acid reflex.
I probably will make an appointment, I've had GERD for years and this dosen't feel like that...maybe its just gas :)
Hi KE - please let us know what your doctor says. I'm quite interested - as I had my GB out lap Feb 26/04 and still experience phamtom pains from time to time.
I need to get back into the habit of recording on Fit Day - but my compuer has been acting up so it is sometimes a frustrating endeavor.
I know that mine is related to eating food high in fat. If I had to give it my best guess I'd say that I'm at about 25% - 27% of my calories from fat. . . and a very low portion of that is saturated fat.
Dairy foods, wheat, and eggs don't sit well with me. I ususally end up with gas, bloat, and in the case of dairy phamtom pains (ie. If I have more than 3 cups of coffee with milk - or more than a sprinkle of cheese on something).
Please post again - and I hope that you are doing better real soon,
Jo

For a more detailed rundown of my situation and for comparison, check my today's post to eegads2003 on this board. Would like to hear from you again to compare what's going on with us. Cheers, Ruth
Hi Kez!
Have they checked your bile ducts to see if there are stones lodge there??
