I had the endoscopy today and it was not bad as I thought it would be. I think the sore throat I have now is worst than the procedure itself. My diagnosis was infection with H. Pylori. I was given a "prevpac" which includes 8 pills per day for 14 days, 4 in the am and 4 in the pm. Each dosage consists of 1 prevacid pill, 1 biaxin, and 2 amoxicillin pills. I had been told previously that my symptom (mild swallowing discomfort, constant belching/regurgitation, full feeling shortly after eating and a constant bloat pouch in my upper abdomen)were Gerd. However, the endoscopy showed no GERD. In addition, a general surgeon had previously indicated that the bulge in my upper abdomen was achalasia, but the endoscopy also showed no sign of this as well. Is it possible to have all these symptoms for H. Pylori and nothing else or was something missed during the endoscopy. Any thoughts?

Yes its possible to have all those systoms and also I ended up pucking up bile I got so bad and that was a nasty feeling I thought that I was having a heart attack It was so painful. It took 3 doctors and 5 days till I found out what i had and 3000 dollars later it was only a 35 dollor blood test I was really mad. I took the therapy and it was nasty too. Was up having to go to the bathroom everymorning cause the antibiotics were alot for your body to handle least mine. And year later that is why I was told I had the c-diff cause not only the antiboitics killed the infection of bad bacteria it killed off my good bacteria and so here I am today they clam I have IBS D. Know that I don't eat much my stomach is on fire and it hurts alot after I eat. Going to see different doctor to see if there is something else going on . SO I can start to feel better. I was also told that once you test postive to h-pylori that you will always tested positve and then again different doctor said no you won't also was told once you've had it you can't get it again. which I don't belive but I am no doctor. So i have lots of questions to ask when I finally go see a different doctor.. Good luck and hope the pills work for you..let me know how you are doing.
