scar tissue after gallbladder removal

I had my gallbladder removed 9 years ago and have always had bad scar tissue at the sight (I had to have the old surgery due to many complications). I have recently lost weight, only about 10 pounds but the scar tissue seems harder and more pressing. Does anyone know of any other condition this could be? I have Dr.s appt for tomarrow but I am now freaking out. My relitives after having felt the area are talking about tumors and making me scared. I can not find any other information on what else this could be. It is not stomach pain as with the surgery but an irritation at the sight. I have only recently begun to have what feel like symptoms of gallbladder again (heartburn - twice). A neighbor recently was told her gallbladder grew back - can this even happen?
Any help would be appreciated.
