POST GALLBLADDER REMOVAL

Hello everyone!

Not even a month ago I had my gall bladder removed. It has been wonderful so far. I was in such terrible pain before the removal and while doing some research work on the net read nothing but horror stories about problems afterwards.

I am feeling fantastic and do not have any bowel problems at all. Sometimes I do get gas...but hey LIFE is NOT perfect! :) I had my GB removed laproscopicly( Is that even spelled right...ha ha ha ha) and the only complaint I do have was the Co2 they used made my shoulder, collar bone and neck ache. That did last like two days, I was able to get up and move around pretty damn good four days after surgury!!! My GB had around a dozen or so very large stones and the Doc had to cut one stone into three pieces to remove it. GB problems run in my family and after removal they found out my duct was deformed and my whole life...25 years my bile had never ever emptied correctly. The Doc guessed that was why my stones were so large.

While I was having my GB problems I ended up losing 50 pounds and at first thought maybe if I ate a low fat diet and excersised I wouldn't have the GB attacks. Now after having it removed I still do follow the diet, although I admit I have indulged in some good food that I have missed. Like mexican food, pizza and beer! HA HA HA HA

I just wanted to post my little story for anyone. Thanks for reading y'all!

Navasha- AMEN! I am so glad someone else had such a positive experience!
I was also a lurker until I thought you know what? I need to let people know I had a good experience. I feel 150% better. And to anyone who is afraid of going under let me stress to you. It is like closing your eyes a second and then waking up. I swear.
If they could remove my gallstones laproscopicly and even end up cutting one into THREE pieces anyone can do it. ( POSITVE THINKING! he he he) You feel so much better, I am so glad I do not hurt and can indulge in spicy foods sometimes.
God bless y'all!

I am glad to hear that your surgery went well. I too had to have my gallbladder removed not long after I had my son. I only hope that you continue to have no problems with that. I on the other hand have alot of problems since I had mine removed. Happy Holidays!
