We just found out our cat has tapeworm. I'm worried that she could have given it to my 2 yr. old. He has, on occasion gotten into the litter box. Also, I've seen the cat sitting on his potty chair. I called the pediatrician's office and talked to the nurse. She said she doesn't think that the kind of tapeworm a cat has can be passed to a human. I don't think she is right. Can tapeworms be passed from a pet to a human? What symtoms would I look for? How would we treat it? If anyone has knowledge or experience in this area, I'd appreciate some advice.

Hi Skystrider
Welcome aboard.
Well
The blueberry idea sounds like a good plan. My child will like this remedy whether he needs it or not. Will blueberries work for any type of intestinal parasite? I've also heard that alot of pumpkin seeds are good, but it's alot harder to get a two year old to eat pumpkin seeds.
Yes
