bloating, etc! HELP!

Okay, years ago I was diagnosed with IBS. But 4 years ago when I got pregnant the situation seemed to miraculously go away. But recently and practically over night I've started having trouble again, but not sure if it is IBS. I had gall bladder surgery 6 years ago and felt great for about a year and then back I went. I didn't have stones, just a diseased gall bladder. I would swear I still have my gallbladder. From mid abdomen down I am bloated and look 4 months pregnant. I feel very full like a good year blimp! Not at all hungry! My dr put me on Luvel for IBS but it seems to be getting worse. I've been having regular bowel movements every day also. Sleeping at night is very uncomfortable.

I do keep a food diary and nothing seems to making it worse.

Any advice?

Chris

I'm sorry, I had the med wrong - it's Nulev. I am supposed to have surgery on Friday for some female stuff (fix some scar tissue and some fluid cysts on my uterus). My OB said he would take a look around while he was there doing the lap and if he can't find anything he will send me to a gastro specialist. That's pretty bad when I have to count on my OB to take me serious. My family physician just kind of throws his hands in the air and says it is just nerves. My New Years resolution is to find me a different family physician. I'm sick and tired of just being another person to walk in the door and have my nerves blamed on everything. He's a little older and alot old fashioned too! Doesn't believe in specialists, wants to treat things himself.

I'm positive my gall bladder was taken out. No I wasn't offended by the question. I feel pretty bloated in the morning but not near as bad as at night. Usually by mid day it hits. Just frustrating and uncomfortable. Thanks for answering. I really appreciate it!

Chris

Thanks for your help once again. You always come to my aid on all these boards. I will keep you informed after Friday. I'm getting a little anxious now I have to admit. I am going to look for a new family physician when this is all over. There is a new, young guy who just came into town, fresh out of school. My dd pediatrician recommends him highly. But for now I just want to get thru Fri and see what they find!

I'll keep you posted!
Chris
