Can anyone help. My friend's mom get very bloated after eating. She went to the doctor, they want to remove her galbladder. But while he is doing that, he wants to remove her uterus. She never had any reproductive problems. Does this make sense to anyone? What does her galbladder have anything to do with her uterus??? Please advise A.S.A.P. thank you!! Sharon

Hi Sharon - I agree with the other ladies - I'd want to know the reason for removing the uterus. Did they see something on the ultrasound (or any other tests) that is making the Dr feel that it's necessary?

If it were my body (or my mom's body) I would be seeking a second opinion and wanting to find out the rationalle for removing the uterus when there isn't a history of uterine problems.

Please let us know how things work out.

I think I remember reading about one person who had a hysteroctomy and GB surgery at the same time - but she had a history of female problems and when the GB flared up decided to have both done at the same time.

Wishing her all the best,

Jo
