Gallbladder v. IBS

I posted the other day about intermittant gallbladder symptoms but a clear gallbladder scan. A few of you mentioned that you had gallbladder-type symptoms but actually turned out to have IBS. I'm curious about what your symptoms were/are, how your IBS was diagnosed and how you are being treated for IBS.
I'd never considered the possibility of IBS because my symptoms are "classic" gallbladder--RUQ pain about 1 hour after eating, burping, severe indigestion, moderate bloating. These symptoms last anywhere from 3 hours to 3 days and only occur every 6-8 weeks. I would mention that when I'm having an attack, I sometimes get constipated, but this is the only symptom I have that seems like IBS at all (I do not have any problems with diarrhea). My doctor did suggest Zelnorm, but I got the sense she was doing that just to give me "something." What would/could this drug do for me? Is it something you take preventatively or only when you're having problems?
Thanks.

HI ABC!
The symptoms of IBS mimic quite a few digestive disorders and it is essential to have the tests to rule out all the other symptoms before a diagnosis of IBS is made.
