Hi Lynn :-)
Thank you so much for responding to my post. Here is an update as to what has been going on with the fever. I talked with my case manager/nurse here at the naval hospital yesterday. She felt that it was not from the abdominal issue but from the cyst removal especially since I am still having problems with the incision (it split open even wider last night). I called the surgeon who took out the cyst. His receptionist was very upset with me for not calling sooner about it, but I didn't know what was causing the fever, etc. There are several flu bugs going around. Anyway, I have an appt with the surgeon this afternoon. Still running a fever & it got up to 100.8 last night, which is not very high, but considering my temps usually runs around 97, its high for me. Still getting drainage from it. Very nasty incision. They are not sure what is causing them or what caused it to get so big so quick. They checked it for cancer. It came back negative. They also checked it for staph & it came back negative, but still treated me with heavy duty antibiotics. Will hopefully find out what is going on with it this afternoon & get a game plan together to get the incision taken care of. My case manager said if they do not do anything to remedy it then they are going to refer me to someone else who will get it fixed. Anyway, wish me luck.
HUGS,

Tara,
Sounds to me as you have a infection there.
Hey Taras!
I hope by now you are feeling better and the fever is gone.
