My 42 year old wife has had Crohns control her life for over 19 years. After thirteen surgeries and many stays in the hospital, her doctors have totally disabled her and she
gets a small ssi check a month.Medicare doesn't pay for medicines and We no longer can find
insurance that will touch her. We've bankrupted twice over the years because of the high medical costs of this and everything we buy must be high interest which doesn't help.
My wife gets remicade every eight weeks which is covered because its infused at the hospital
Which costs 4100.00 and medicare pays most of that. She has been giving a RX of pentasa which costs 500.00 amonth along with two other RX's which run 150.00 together.
We can't seem to find any help out there to help pay for some of this.I'm always told i make too much money (after taxes 28000)They don't consider that if you take over 8000 off the top for medicine we are in a very low income bracket.
It seems our government is more interested in sending money overseas than taking care of its own tax payers.
Any suggestions from anyone will be appreceiated.
