Since last Wednesday I have had lower abdominal pain, mostly right in the center with feeling bloating, pressure and tender when I would lay down and press on the area.It feels like menstrual cramps. I have had 2 UTI checks since then and they were both negative. From last Wed. to Sat. I was also feeling a bit nauseous. No vomiting though. No appetite. On Sat. I went to the Er cause I started getting a pain in the crease of my right leg, around the groin area and above my right hip bone. Not pain enough to cause tears, but enough to concern me. The doctor was nothing short of an idiot. I left there being offered motrin, a pain shot (I took neither!), told to go on a liquid diet cause it was the stomach flu, then told it was because I was mid-cycle and ovulating (for 4 days???)The only good thing he did was a pelvic exam to rule out infection! So here I am 2 days later, the pain in the right side comes and goes and feels more like a burning sensation that has moved up closer to the top of my abs, directly parallel to my bellybutton. Is this gallbladder or could it be appendicitis? I was thinking if it was appendicitis it would have gotten worse by now? Any thoughts? I can't get into the doctor until Friday (the nurse did say to 'walk in' if I thought it was getting any worse).
Thank you!

Hi
Thank you for the welcome! I am feeling a bit better since this morning.
As for the doctors, we are Air Force, so I don't get a real 'say' in who I see. And if I don't like the doctor I have then I have to fill out a ton of paperwork and wait a month or two until they switch my doctor. Either way, it would still be a military hospital/clinic. The ER Army doctor was a joke. He asked me the standard questions, checked my lungs, heart, told me to lie back and then barely pushed my abs through a pair of jeans and a shirt and said "see you aren't in pain, we can send you home now!" no joke! I insisted on further testing and all he would give me was a pelvic to rule out infection. They checked my urine which came back clear, but no blood work to see if my white blood cells were out of whack! First the 'doctor' told me it was nothing, (like basically I was making it up) then he said it might be a stomach/intestinal virus, then he said I was ovulating. I'm not sure what his final verdict was but he told me to go on a liquid diet. The nurse could tell I was pi$$ed and apologized a zillion times, but it didn't matter cause I was still in pain! Idiots! lol
No fever, I had one bout with nausea earlier today, the pain seems to have moved up my right side to right below my rib cage. Kinda feels like a pinching pain? Nothing that is taking my breath or doubling me over. And I still have the 'burning' sensation in the lower right side, but nothing REALLY painful, kwim? I mean on a scale from 1-10 (with 10 being natural childbirth! LOL) I would say I am at about a 3-4? And my bowels are inbetween normal and diarrhea...not full blown diarrhea, but definately soft? Am I explaining this right? LOL
Oh and I know about stress, I am unfortunately, no stranger to panic attacks and stress wrecking havoc on my body. It moves from chest pain, to TMJ acting up and now I feel like all my ab problems are from stress too! :( But with my sister already having had her gallbladder out a few years ago, and my dad is having his out in a few days, I can't help but think I will be next!! Does this sound like gallbladder?
Thanks!

Hi Jami!
Welcome aboard!
Thanks for the reply! I am still feeling the same as last week, so I am guessing it isn't appendicitis. With the stress in my life and the way my body likes to handle it, I am thinking it is either IBS or my gallbladder.
I haven't had a fever, vomiting, bleeding, or anything I consider serious symptoms. So that is good news! I haven't asked my dad or sister about their symptoms yet. My sister is hard to get ahold of! lol and my dad just had his gallbladder out this morning. He also has liver cysts that they took a biopsy of, so I don't know if his symptoms would be different because of the cysts.
I go to the dr. tomorrow morning and will hopefully leave with some answers to help me feel better! This sucks! I can't imagine living like this for months or years! yikes!
Thanks again!
Jami
