okay I think I'm losing my mind..I could've sworn I posted this but I don't see it listed. Maybe I hit cancel. Weird. My apologies if this shows up twice.
I'll shorten it this time...has anyone had a Radionuclide scan for their gallbladder before?

Hi Misty,
Yes I have had this test.
I have also had that done if it's the same as a Hida Scan. They just inject a radioactive dye in your vein and it "highlights" your gallbladder. They take pics of your GB for an hour. Then they inject the CCK which causes your GB to contract and empty the contents. That is how they measure the ejection fraction. If it doesn't empty well then the % will be low. This may cause some pain if you have stones or inflammed wall and nausea in some people. Mine scan came back normal surprisingly(I have a inflammed wall and polyps).
The whole scan took me about 1 1/2 hours. 1 hour for the first part, 30 mins. for the CCK part.

I appreciate everyone's responses. The nurse was supposed to call me today with a date and time to get this done. She mentioned the part about it possibly being painful and the nausea. I just want it done and some sort of result that means something.
It's not the food limitations that bug me. It's more the idea that I want to have an explanation for everything I'm feeling.
Misty,
It's only natural to want an explanation of what is going wrong with you.
