Recurring Vomiting

Do these symptoms suggest anything to you? My sister has recurring vomiting that is sweet tasting. It usually happens first thing in the morning. She is 63, obese, has mild Type II diabetes controlled by diet. Endoscopy and colonoscopy revealed nothing other than mild gastritis. Sonogram did not indicate gallstones or gall bladder disease. Blood tests reveal no dysfunction in the liver or pancreas. The attacks, which occur every few weeks, occur the morning after a high-fat meal, but she has never had problems with this type of food before and it does not occur every time she eats high fat. She take a wide variety of medication for all sorts of ailments (arthritis, high blood pressure, acid reflux, etc.) but has taken them all for quite awhile. At first she did not have any nausea prior to vomiting but now reports that she is nauseated for hours before throwing up. The best diagnosis her doctor has given her is gastritis but the sweet taste of the vomit seems especially peculiar. I'm wondering if this is related to her diabetes some how. Does anyone have any ideas?
