Hi,
I am not sure what is going on....I know I am lactose intolerant (so I avoid dairy products) but my stomach 'groans' (not discomfort) and it is really embarrassing. It does not matter what I eat, my stomach makes this loud, grumbling noise every time - literally. I can be at my desk with complete silence in our office and my stomach will begin to groan so loud I turn completely red!! It also produces alot of gas and I have some discomfort from that. I know my co-workers hear it but they have never said anything (they probably think I fast everyday or something)! I am not sure what to eat to stop this stomach or digestive daily 'groan' process. I've searched this website and recently joined as a iVillage member, yeah :-) but it seems like a little of each 'disorder' describes my 'disorder' and I am not sure what to do or take to resolve this 'embarrasing' issue. Anybody have some advise or tips..... I have naseau but no vomitting and that occurrs at any time throughout the day and evening.
Thanks,
Chosen01

Hello and Welcome to iVillage
First
Thanks Wren! I will start to keep a journal of what I eat and drink to see if I can find a connection somewhere. I eat most times, after I get to work not before (because I do not have time). I may worry a bit but I try not to. But I will take that into consideration as well.
Thanks again,

Hi,
I was diagnosed as lactose intolerent before I found out I had a wheat allergy. Before I knew I had the wheat allegy...I would get the same symptoms you're describing...looking back, I was mixing a little bit of cream in my coffee (couldn't give up the cream!) and a bagel (wheat)...it wasn't pretty :)
If you don't have a food allergy (besides dairy) you might try a digestive enzyme...they help break down carbs, fats...and in turn reduce bloating.
