Sick Sick Sick

I just registered and have a question for anyone that can give some insight. I was diagnosed with IBS about a 1 1/2 years ago. I take medicine on a regular basis. The only problem that I am really having, is that I am sick to my stomach all the time, everyday. I am not pregnant, that I know. And I don't vomit. I just feel horrible all the time. Sometimes I get light headed and have burning headaches as well. One other thing is that about once every two weeks I get this burning pain right in the middle of my stomach. It goes away about 15 minutes later, but it hits when I am driving, working, or just sitting at my desk. I have already been checked for stomach ulcers and do not have any. I didn't know if these were normal symptoms of IBS or not. I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions.

Thank you!!!

Thank you very much for the info. I am a natural born stresser :), so that is probably the main reason. But a family member had mentioned acid reflux also. So, on to keeping a journal!

Thank you for your reply. It does happen at night and during the day. I had my gallbladder out almost 2 years ago. I take Welchol for my IBS. They checked to make sure that I didn't have ulcers first. Plus for years they thought I had ovarian cysts and then they came to the conclusion that it was IBS. I always have a "gurgling" in my tummy that is sometimes pretty loud. I try to stay away from greasy foods and iceberg lettuce. I have cut down on my sodas alot. I may have one a day. But mostly, I am just nausea all the time. Someone else suggested acid reflux. I will definately check into that. Thank you again for your info.

Get another opinion-i had these same symptom's and was told it was not an ulcer.
I continued my daily life,tired-sick,would have this pain under my breastbone and abv.
my bellybutton. sometime's inbetween my sholderblade's. along with the urge or feeling
like i was going to vomit. sometime's i would and sometime's i wouldnt. anyway
i had surgery less than 2mo ago for a bleeding ulcer. it's not alway's easy for them
to detect. My suggestion take some maylox and get another opinion. Because they toy
with you/ulcer's. they will repair themselve's sometime's and then you can have problems
all over again. so if it keeps bothering you have it checked out again.
