airplanes and stomach problems

I have to fly this week..... my stomach has really been acting up (diarhea) does anyone have any suggestions?? I get kind of nervous on airplanes. I am seeing my doctor on Tuesday. Just wondering...I get so nervous about the idea of not being able to use the bathroom for half an hour/fourty five minutes when I will probably be nervous. The flight is very early (not my idea) and mornings are the worst time for me. Thanks for any suggestions!

Hi Rachel and Welcome
I HATE airplane bathrooms- I just can't seem to release anything in there... I'll be suffering from a UTI I bet in July on my 15h flight...
Anyway, how about not eating harldy any fibre the night before and day of the flight..? Have you tried Immodium? I use it often, and it works really well. Seems to plug me up until I can get to a comfortable bathroom. :-)
Good luck! I hope your flight goes well,
Jenn

Try drinking more water and
Hi Rachel!
Welcome to the board!
Even if I drink a lot of water that day, I still won't be able to use the bathroom- I have a shy bladder, it won't release in public bathrooms, train or airplane bathrooms no matter how bad I have to go. But I'll be bringing cranberry juice with me to Saskatoon, and drinking it all day the Friday that I land there. That stuff works wonders.
I can't eat yogurt though- I am lactose intolerant. It's so not worth the pain.

Just do what you can so YOU don't suffer in the end..
Take care and Have a nice trip..
