Hi Donna - I'd guess that the phrase 'nervous stomach' is something that the medical community would use when they've done every test possible and they are all inconclusive.

I know nothing of acid reflux so cannot comment on that.

However I'm all to familiar with varouis gb issues.

Did you ever record your food intake on www.fitday.com to see what percentage is coming from fat? It is a pain to do - but if you can just do it over a period of a few weeks it can provide very helpful information. That would be my only suggestion.

Do you drink carbonated drinks or eat foods that use sugar substitutes. All of the above cause me bloat and gas.

All the best Donna,

Jo

What percentage was your fat intake at? (you don't have to answer that)

For at least the first year after my surgery if I consumed more than 20% of calories from fat I'd experience some form of discomfort.

Another thought is to eliminate a food group from your diet for one month - then re-introduce it. Such as dairy or sugar or gluten containing foods or eggs. It's a challange - but can be very revealing.

I"ve heard of alot of people taking a low dose of Paxil for their IBS and it seems to help alot.

I take Questrain and it helps SOOOOOO Much with my stomach and being able to eat now that I have no gallbladder. I would definately look into that if i were you.
