I went to the doctor Friday.
I had been on Flagyl( for 3 days) empirically for what he thought was c.diff ( had a dose of clindamycin on July 25).
The culture came back negative. He did a sigmoidoscopy, and did not see c.diff, colitis, ulcerative colitis, or cancer. ( thank God)

I stopped the Flagyl, started Pepto Bismol, am continuing with the acidophilus, and I have to do a O & P, another c.diff stool, and also wait for the results of all the blood they took ( CBC, SMAC, thyroid).

Since stopping the Flagyl on Thursday, I had 3 more bouts Friday, but then that has been it.
THings aren't normal, but I have been only going 2-3 times per day, and it's not as bad as it was...

I don't have a clue anymore, but I can tell you, this is VERY annoying...

I'm frustrated, annoyed, and at this point, I just want an answer.

I'm tired of feeling like this.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I would be open to any suggestions of what you think this is, or any ways to cure/calm/halt the diarrhea...

Thanks,
J

I never have been?

It doesn't seem to be after I eat anything specific either...?

I don't know, but that's a great idea, I'm going to write down everything that I eat, and see what happens.
At least I can feel like I'm doing something!!
Thanks again,
Jane

Thanks for the thought... I'll pass it along.

I'm just waiting for the results of the O & P, and 2nd C.Diff, as well as all the blood work, then they will take it from there.

The funny thing is, it's getting a little better with just the acidophilus and one or 2 tsp of Pepto per day, so who knows!

I'll keep you posted.

Thanks again!
