tired of always being nauseous

I just started college, and between that and work I'm definitely stressed. But i've been stressed before all while juggling between the two, and never had i ever felt so sick. I've always had nausea that would come about at random times for no apparent reason, and I would never actually be sick. Just severely nauseous. But lately it's been persisting for 3-4 days. Back in March I went to the gastro for the first time because I was just tired of always feeling ill. He asked questions and said my neurological exam was normal, and a rectal exam which was normal and then ordered an ultrasound and blood test. The blood test came back normal and nothing on the ultrasound. Recently I heard about someone who's on the pill Nexium which is supposed to get rid of acid reflux. I was thinking maybe I had that, but I never feel burning in my esophogus. ALSO- to mention, my nausea is never in my stomach, I never feel it there, it's always in my throat which I find weird. I get dry mouth and my throat feels like its kind of closed or blocked off (i'm still able to breath fine though) kind of like a lump in my throat that makes me feel sick. It's hard for me to get sick..like i'm scared or something and just can't come to mind to do it. The gastro said that if I ever chose to, I could go and do the endoscopy procedure where they sick the cam down your throat and what not, but I cant do that either. I'll gag! I just cant take it anymore. I want to know if there's anyone else out there who can relate with me somehow, share tips, how to get rid of nausea, what their docs say, etc..I really dont know what to do anymore. Please help!

oh p.s.- I've been on the generic prescription of Zantac..it worked for about 30 days and I was nauseous again, and now I usually take pepto bismol and a dramamine to feel somewhat better.

Hey Pretty2196

You don't have to feel the heartburn to have it.

Try and keep busy and keep your mind off of it (I know, easier said than done), however it will be such a relief once you find out what is going on. And I can almost guarantee you will wonder why you worried so much over the test once you have it :)!!!

Did the Dr. explain exactly what they will be doing?

Listen to Wren and breath deeply :)
