and he suggests a lumpectomy, 6 or so weeks of radiation, see an oncologist to figure out if adjunct meds are in order (feels that no chemo is necessary). The good news is also that my cells are low grade --- which means slow growing, etc. So the prognosis is really good, so I am feeling a lot better now :)!!!! Am still getting the 2nd opinion.
Anyway, unfortunately, even though the progesterone did not help much with my period, for some odd reason when I took it I had no trouble with my fissure --- it was the first time that my fissure felt fine during my time of the month in probably 8 months. Now that I have been dx with the breast ca --- I cannot take any hormone supplements/meds.
The one good thing and I am keeping my fingers crossed --- is my colitis is not acting up under this stress --- I normally take 3 asacol/ day when in remission --- I upped it to 4 just as a safeguard --- my dr. has me prescribed for 6, but I don't like taking all 6 all the time --- only when I have an attack.
Well I hope everyone is doing ok
Ellen
