GB: Fat & GB Attacks question

I have a question about fat and GB attacks.  I had my first and only one about a week and a half ago.  The doctor told me not to eat too much fat.  Well, I don't know how much is too much.  So for the first few days I didn't eat any fat.  And then I started to slowly add fat back into my daily diet.  I am now only eating about 5-6 grams a day.  I am doing this gradually, so my question is, if I eat too much, how will it affect me?  Like, if I eat just a little too much fat, will I have a small attack (if there is such a thing)?  And then if I eat a lot of fat, then will I have a bad attack?  Or does the size of the attack not matter on how much fat you eat?

My other issue is, my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for almost a year now.  I have been torn as to if we should hold off on that until I hear more from a doctor/surgeon.  We have already spent 11 months trying to get pregnant, so I'd hate to have to waste a month of trying.  So far they are saying the surgery is elective, and I can do it whenever I want.  I am a big chicken, and scared to have the surgery, so I'd like to put it off as long as possible.  But, if I have to have it before we get pregnant, then I don't want to wait.  I have really had mixed emotions about this lately.  I am not sure what to do.  Has anyone else had to deal with this before?

I'm also no pregnancy and GB expert, but from what I've heard from others, an attack while pregnant is beyond miserable. You can't have the surgery while pregnant, you definitely don't want the surgery with a tiny baby depending on you (you can't lift things for a week) and you can't have many painkillers during an attack if pregnant. Plus, like Jo said being pregnant can make a GB act up for some reason.

I waited 3 years to get my GB taken care of because I was busy at work/life or scared. It was a big mistake. The surgeon told me in my follow up appt that my GB was very thick and difficult to remove. If I had waited much longer, I'd probably would've had to have the open surgery.
