What do you do?
Oh I have been having such intense cravings for things that I should not have. I've been sticking to a very lowfat, bland diet and when I do I feel pretty good. But then I want things. Bad.
I broke down today. I was craving Taco Bell like ever before. Well, I got a chicken soft taco cuz I figure that will do the least damage. My DH got some Nachos and a chili-cheese burrito (two of my favorites) and I have a couple small bites of each to ease the craving. Now I'm sitting here hoping to high heaven that I can digest it alright. It's not like I got carried away and pigged out. I tried to be careful about it yet still satisfying that craving.
You know what else sounds awsome? BBQ Ribs. My FIL was talking about them today and oh my mouth began to water. I felt like Homer Simpson, "mmmmmm....bbq ribs...." lol
My gallbladder doesn't appear to be in real sad shape right now. Infact it's not inflamed and the walls are just fine. They found what looks to be a tiny polyp (but they need to make sure it's not a stone) and my common bile duct was mildy dilated with no obvious sign of blockage. I do get dull aches in that area after eating. It lasts a few hours but it's not excrutiating. My worst problem is the nausea I tend to get in the mornings.

LOL! I know the feeling. I use to and still do crave things I know will cause problems. Every now and then I give in and regret it later..but at the time it is pure heaven! The other day I had a bit of hubby's rib and cheese sandwich from Subway and it tasted sooo good but then next day I was horribly nauseous and stomach gurgling/cramps--and I thought to myself "why do I torture myself this way??"
The only thing you can do is just think of the consequences and avoid giving in to your (Homer Simpson voice in the head) temptation..It's hard but is definately possible!
Good Luck!

Yeah, at this point they are looking into the gallbladder as the culprit for the nausea and vomiting I've been experiencing. I also have acid reflux which I'm on Prevacid for that. I'll find out more after my endoscopy on the 21st.
The Taco Bell didn't cause me any discomfort last night at all. But this morning I woke up with a mild case of the runs at like 5am. Kept me up for about an hour and then that was it. I just cannot decide if it was worth it or not. At least I didn't get nauseous!
The way I see it right now, until I learn more about what foods are a total 'no-no' is if I have that craving that I cannot leave alone, I can just have a taste or two and savor those couple of bites.
