Anyone try this yet?
Since I am not responding well the the Prednisone my doctor wants me to starts Remicade infusions. I am nervous to have to get an IV so often, but they said it's like a miracle and right now I am ready for anything. Anyone have any input on this medicine, what have you heard about it? I need the good and the bad! :)
TIA!

I have absolutely no experience about remicade but I did have a BIG HUG to give to you. I just read your first post and it sounds like you have really had a rough time. I hope someone gets back to you with reassurance that the remicade is okay so that you can get back on the road to recovery!
Take Care!

Hi Lauren!
I take Remicade!
My ex-boss takes Remicade as well for his Crohn's disease and it has worked wonders for him as well as Lynn said.
He has not had a bad experience with it as of yet and I believe it is almost 2 years he has been on it. He also has it done at his Dr.'s office.
hugs

I am just seeing this post and wanted to say that my boyfriend has been on Remicade for several years now and it is the only thing that helps him. It also helps him heeps with his joint aches and pains since it also is used for Rumatoid (sp?) arthritis. He cannot take the prednisone because it literaly makes him psychotic, a rare side affect. When ever they suggest he take it when flairing I tell them to write me a prescription for a straight jacket while their at it.
He has taken 6MP, Asacol, prednisone, was on Cipro for months on end, nothing was working. He was begging them to just take EVERYTHING out. Unfortuantely, you can't live without intestines so that was not an option. Then along came remicade. He actually has had periods of remission that last as long as 4 months between flairs. We only pray he does not build up a resistance to it, because we don't know where we would turn to then.
Hey Rib,
Yes, Remicade is wonderful.
