What is wrong with me??

This past month my stomach has been giving me a lot of problems, it's been on and off but it's been rather constant the past two weeks.
I'm having nausea on and off, no actual vomiting though. I also have a very decreased appetite, my stomach feels rather sour at times, I feel extremely full 24/7 and also have a very bloated feeling.
No diarrhea or stomach pain (except for gas). The doctor pressed down all along my abdomen and no pain was present
My blood pressure is fine but my pulse has been rather elevated and my anxiety levels through the roof.
I already did a general bloodtest and an ultrasound and everything showed to be ok.
I am still awaiting an appointment with a GI specialist where I hope to do an H. Pylori bloodtest and a stool test but I am completely baffled by this.
I did go through a rather traumatic event this month involving a near fatal accident of my step-father, which I witnessed. The day after is when all my stomach problems started but I'm not sure if I could have been that traumatized, I wasn't very close to him but I had never experienced something like that. Like I said before my anxiety levels are really high since then, even small daily activities like getting a haircut get me very nervous. I always had some anxiety problems but never this bad.
Still I'm not sure if I can relate this to anxiety attacks or if It's something completely different... there are days when I am just home and have nothing to be nervous about yet I still can't eat.
Anyone know what it could be?

I was also producing rather "small" results in the restroom compared to what I was eating, I often felt a little full, like I had to go but when I tried I didn't. I had lost some regularity but was still going once a day.
Oh, you sound just like me. I have exactly the same symptoms that you do, have a LOT of anxiety, and in the past three months have lost 3 very precious people in my life, 1 to a freak car wreck and the other 2 to murder. The last one was someone I had dated for a whole year, then on and off for the next 9 years, we almost got married, I lost his baby, and he was just completely massacred. Shot to death by his soon to be ex-girlfriend in the chest, neck, face and 3 times in the back of the head. And now I'm having these same symptoms that you are describing. I've talked to my Dr. about them, we know that I do have gallbladder disease, so that could be part of it, but this constant gas, fullness, not being able to eat full meals, belching, feeling like I have to "go", but nothing is there, is driving me crazy. He wants me to have an END, but I'm scared to do that. I also have tons of bile on my stomach all the time. So much that it starts burning in my upper abdomen and I have to make myself throw it up to get any relief. The bile starts backing up into my throat. I also have intermittent feelings of nausea. I don't know what to tell you, except that you're not alone in this. And being the anxiety victim that I am, I've read enough on digestive disorders that anxiety strikes the digestive system in most people like us. And witnessing what you did, could have brought on major anxiety, whether you were close to your step-father or not. I did not witness this car wreck, nor these two murders, but they are devastating to me all the same, especially this last one. I will keep you in my prayers, I know how you feel, and let me know how you're doing.
All the best,
Melanie
I forgot to tell you that I was diagnosed with H. Pylori infection in 1999. It's no fun and the medicine you have to take is unbearable sometimes, also very expensive. Usually, in most people, one round of the meds will kill the bacteria, but it took 4 rounds of medication therapy before I finally got a negative result. My stomach hasn't been the same since. It causes ulcers, too, which my Dr. swears I have. I've also noticed traces of blood in the vomit, (sorry to be so gross), and he's concerned about that. So, hopefully you do NOT have H. Pylori infection. It's awful. If I remember right, my symptoms were just a lot of gas and abdominal cramps, that's what sent me to my Dr. in the first place. They check for it with a blood test. Let me know what they found out. H. Pylori is a bacterial infection that lives and breeds in the lining of your stomach. Do a search for it, and you can see pictures of it. Again, please let me know what you find out.
In His love,
Melanie
You are not alone. I, too, suffer many of the symptoms you've listed and lack the abdominal pain I have had an upper endoscopy, test for H. pylori, and a stress test done and results for all came out fine, just a little redness in the lower stomach, indicating it may be the beginnings of an ulcer.
The GI wanted to be thorough, so he sent me to a cardiologist for the stress test. I have follow up appointment w/ the GI again soon. He'll probably want to run other tests -colonoscopy and or stool sample.
I've made diet changes (no relief, though, so I've thrown that out the window) and taken acidolphilus, Prilosec, Reglan, Protonix, Prevacid and Carafate - all w/o full relief. The upper chest heartburn, bloating, full 24/7 feeling, gas, belching, nausea (more off than on) have all been with me since Nov 28. I've been on meds snce Jan 7. The burn changes intensity, but is constant.
Since everything seems to come up normal so far, I suspect stress may be the true culprit. And yes, stress has the ability to wreak havok on our bodies. Sorry you're having to go through this and hope you find some answers soon.
