And stomach and esophogus look normal. Thanks to you guys, he took a biopsy so I will get those results next week. He recommended I postpone my gallbladder surgery and see him again next week so that is what I am going to do. I want the biopsy results and want to see what he is thinking (other tests?) before I have the surgery. Thanks for all your advice and support. Do you think it could be colon related? I am not so sure eating would aggrevate a colon problem immediately though...back to the drawing board.

Vicki,
So glad that the endoscopy went well for you. Your doctor sounds like he is taking you very seriously. I'm glad that he took a biopsy and advised you to postpone the GB surgery. It is better to have all the facts before jumping in to a surgery.
I wish I could offer some intelligent advice but I am still trying to figure out what is going on with my gut (especially the left side gut pain)! LOL But a few things do come to mind - have you ever had a colonscopy? if not you might want to ask the Doc if you should have one. Left side pain could indicate diverticulosis so maybe you need to rule that out. My colonscopy did not show any. Perhaps you should ask if you have a motility problem in your stomach. I just got copies of the GI Doc's letters to my primary care physician and in the first one last spring he mentions that as a possible problem. Funny he never mentioned it to me!
Have a good one! Talk again soon!
Susie
Hey Vicki,
Glad to hear that your scope went well.
Thanks Susie. I hear you about trying to figure out our problems...seems digestive tract problems are not an easy thing to diagnose. I have not had a colonoscopy but was going to ask my GI dr about having one. My mom had diverticulosis, but my GP tells me I am too young for it (34). What is a motility problem, just a problem moving everything along? Wonder why your dr didnt say anything to you about, are you going to ask him?
Vicki
Thanks Lynn. The pain happens pretty instantly after I eat, that is why dr was thinking stomach (and where the pain is). I am under a TON of stress right now, I have a 6 month old at home that I take care of while working full-time at home, taking care of the house, money problems, husband (lol), etc. I am sure that is not helping, actually am interviewing babysitters to help me this weekend and talking to hubby about other things we can to to help alleviate some of the stress from every day life. I know what IBS is, what is Celiac?
Vicki
Hey Vicki,
Hope you are having a nice weekend.
Hi there, hope everyone is doing well.
I got my biopsy results back and no bacteria, so stomach is normal. GI dr does not know what is causing left side pain, and now thinks right side IS gallbladder. I asked if he wanted to run anymore tests and he said no...I asked why and he said because my CT scans showed pancreas, spleen, etc all being normal. He suggested I bring the report back to my regular dr and see what he says and maybe have another hida scan...no thanks.
So I went to another GP today, and LOVE him. I explained everything to him, showed reports and he thinks it could be related to my gallbladder, it is rare but there have been a few cases of people having a nerve running across that could be causing my pain. OR he thinks it could be related to my colon, I guess gas can get trapped where the colon turns (where my pain is), so he wants me to get a barium xray before my surgery. At least this guy is trying to help me figure it out insted of just telling me to get my gb out, even thought it doesn't cause left side pain...ugh. So that is where I am at.
Thanks for asking about the babysitting search, so far no luck but still trying.
A friend of a friend is allergic to gluten..came on after pregnancy, didnt know that is what it is called, thanks!
