High Ejection fraction rate gallbladder

I heard from my GI Dr that I have a very high ejection fraction rate with my gallbladder - it is 83%. But she confessed she didn't know what this means. Does anyone know? I can't seem to find anything meaningful on the Web.

THanks for searching! I actually had seen that information already but it speaks to a low ejection fraction rate versus my very high rate. I guess anything outside of "normal" probably means removal. I did see my GI Dr and she didn't know what the 83% meant! I just wish I knew what it meant!

Mine was something like 93% which the dr. said was perfect--ie. functioning like normal. I still ended up having my GB removed though. Maybe it's different in Canada the way they figure those numbers out.

Donna -- thanks for your reply. From what I read on the Web the normal range max was 75% so you and are are way above that. Any reason they took out your gallbladder even though they deemed it normal? My Dr's are trying to figure out abdominal pain and they have noticed that my system processes everything faster than lightening - did you have this too??
