has this board ever seen a person struggle with a dr to find out what is wrong, the dr wastes alot of months doing nothing and in the end because it took so long to find out the nauture of the problem, the person ends up with stomach cancer and dies? does this happen or am i paranoid?

If you feel that this doctor is not acting in your best interest, you have the right to seek another opinion.
Your symptoms are rather recent, aren't they? The likelihood of whatever you have being able to quickly morph into 'cancer' are highly unlikely.
Be persistent in getting your issue resolved, but also give the doctor a chance to figure out what is going on. Tests can take a while to be scheduled, results aren't always clear and it can take a while to find a cause and solution. We'd all like instant gratification and that isn't always possible.

<I agree that you need to consult another doctor, and please tell him your fears.
