hi, im new to this site. i just have a few questions really need advice really nervouse. for 2 years now ive been very sick, stomache problems.it actually started after i had my son not sure still if pregnancy did this to me or i was gonna get all this anyway. its really embarrsing and physically hurting.i would have diahrrea, nausea, cant hardly eat if i do my stomache gets a dull ache and dont go away for awhile, its hard to eat in public because of all this i get gurgling in my throat, gassy feeling all the time, bloating, heartburn so bad i feel like im having a heart attack. recently i finally had enough and went to the doctors they started testing me found out i have a stomache ulcer, acid reflux, and gallstones im really a mess. i had the barrium, egd, and a sonogram for my testing and im getting surgery to get my gallbladder out. my question is have anyone on here gone through all this or going through it now? and did yous feel better after surgery and medications they put you on.and im in on here just to talk to other people that went through this. thank you so much for reading and sorry if to long.

So sorry to hear that you've been so sick, but it's great that you finally saw a doctor, had testing done and are now on the road to feeling much better!
It is probable that this would have happened and had nothing to do with your pregnancy, although you might have been more predisposed, with the extra stress.
How long have you been on medication and is it helping yet? If you aren't feeling any improvement, be sure to let the doctor know. They can only Rx what they think might help, but we are all different and sometimes medication dosages have to be fine tuned.
The surgery should help and you'll need to ask your doctor what to expect afterwards. Some people go right back to eating a poor diet, but learning to eat healthier is always a good way to recover. When is the surgery scheduled? I'll be here to answer questions and find whatever info I can.

<Protonix seems to help most people with ulcers, so be sure to let your doctor know if you don't feel any improvement, but like you said, you have to give it some time to work.
September 5th isn't that far off, so hopefully you'll continue feeling better and even manage to feel great by the time the holidays roll around. It's hard to believe that Fall and that mad rush will begin soon, isn't it?
