Just a chill?

This has happened to me twice now. I'm sitting at work, right under that damn AC, and I get serious pain in my mid to upper back, about where my kidneys would be, accompanied by mild nausea. It's not any particular side, there are no other digestive symptoms or headaches or fevers involved, and I also have mild cold symptoms. I'm tired as well, but I might just need more sleep. This pain is strong enough to make me miserable and useless at work until my Advil takes effect. Did I just catch a chill or should I worry?

Thanks,

Julia

Glad you stopped by Julia!

In my opinion, the cold air hitting your back might be causing your symptoms, but I don't think there is actually anything like catching a chill.

Can you request that some type of block be put up, to keep the air from hitting you directly? Sometimes just adding a stiff piece of cardboard can help redirect the airflow just enough!
