I'm glad you found us!

It does sound like having your gallbladder removed might be the next step, but let's wait and see what the surgeon proposes. Please keep us updated and tell us what is suggested OK?

Have you ever had a CT scan done? They are pretty easily tolerated and not as claustrophobic as an MRI can be. Let us know what the report shows/says!

No i have never had one before but it can't be as bad as a hida scan. I will let you know what they find if anything. The doctor said if the only do the four cuts i will get to go home that day but if they have to make a big cut i will have to stay in the hospital three days why would they have to make a big cut what is the differnce?

Tell them before you drink it - they may want to give you an anti-nausea medication so you can avoid vomiting.

All the best

They may have something stronger that can be administered by IV, something that will get into your system faster and have a chance to work. Good luck and keep us updated!

I had to have my gallbladder removed almost exactly a year ago. I was having horrible pain for several months but each time they did a scan they never saw anything wrong. Finally, I ended up with pancreatitis (sp?) and in the hospital. They did more scans and still they saw nothing wrong with my gallbladder but I continued to get sicker. Finally, they decided to take out the gallbladder. There were no stones, but it was full of "sludge". This was causing my gallbladder to not work to it's full ability. Once they removed my gallbladder I immediately got better. Sometimes they can't always see the problem until they get in there. Good luck to you! I hope it turns out as well as mine did!
