Thank you! I don't normally just jump right in, but it was something I was familiar with. I was actually hoping to get some information on Ulceritive Colitis. Is this the board I would find discussions about that? Thank you!

I am delighted that you 'jumped right in'! That is what these boards are all about, people helping people and your comments are certainly welcome.

I was actually hoping to get some information on Ulceritive Colitis.

Are you being allowed to eat a regular, full meal so soon after surgery? I am curious because most surgeons are a bit more cautious and prefer that patients start slowly, with soft foods.

I'm glad you are feeling so good so soon. Keep us updated on your recovery!

It is still quite soon after surgery and what you are feeling might just be normal healing. There are probably dissolvable sutures inside that you might be feeling. If anything feels odd to you, then yes, you should call and talk to the doctor or his nurse for reassurance. When is your next follow-up appointment?

That is a long way off, especially if you are feeling that something isn't 'right'. Give your doctor a call and see if he/she wants you in sooner. Let me know what is suggested, OK?

I will be gone for a while; have my own Dr. appt. this morning, but I'll be back this afternoon.
