Eating because of my head!!
| Mon, 09-18-2006 - 2:11pm |
Everytime I get hungry (about every 2 hours or so) my head gets all light, I get shakey and I start having a panic attack because I feel as if I could pass out. I have been diagnosed with my stomach emptying out food to early (dumping syndrome) but my sugar levels are just fine. I am also a type 2 diebetic. The thing is that I can ONLY eat a sandwich. I can only eat bread with meat. It doesn't matter if it's tuna, beef, turkey etc.. but it HAS to be with the bread in a sandwich form. I have tried to eat baked chicken then a piece of buttered bread and that doesn't help, my head still feels terrible. I can't eat soup or anything else (eg. pizza) because it doesn't help my head from feeling that way. I eat because of my head and not so much me being hungry. This is VERY frustrating and I'm so SICK of eating sandwiches.
HELP......if you can!
Thanks
John
HELP......if you can!

Welcome John, but I have to admit being confused a bit.
Having been dx'd with the 'dumping' syndrome and being diabetic, I would think your Dr(s). would be trying to find answers for you. What has been suggested?
I hope some of our other members might have some ideas for you, because right now I am totally stumped! Here

<I have read about everyting about this dumping thing but it mostly revolves around people that have had stomach surgery. I haven't had that but they always keep going back to that. I was adopted from Quebec Canada when I was 6 months old so I have really no medical background of my family. I'm just trying to find out why if I eat a half of ANY sandwich I am fine. VERY frustrating. I even went to a stomach surgeon and took in what I ate in a week and told him all my symptoms and the more I talked the more dumb he looked. He had NO idea.
Thanks again!
John
