Newbie- With a Hole in My Peritoneum

I recently underwent a laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and dye study (in one) because I have been having issues with my period that led us (my doctor and myself) to believe that I had either Polycystic Ovary Syndrome or endometriosis. During the procedure the doctor noted that my uterus looked fine, my ovaries looked fine but only my left fallopian tube looked ok. The right one was not connected to my uterus, it was unusually long, it had a kink in it and it was nestled in a large hole that I had in my peritoneum (the sac that surrounds the organs and keeps them from free floating throughout the body).
My question is, has anyone else here gone through this? Or do you know anyone who has gone through this? I have to have another surgery to repair all of the holes and detached organs, but I would really like to connect with a specialist who has delt with something like this before. According to my doctor, she has never seen nor heard of anything like this. She believes that I was born with the hole in my peritoneum. The symptoms that led me to the surgery were intermittent sharp pain in my abdomen and continiuos dull pain on my right side.
Thanks in advance and if I have posted this in the wrong board, I would appreciate any redirection.
