Got a second opinion, see an end sight

I ended up going to another doctor for a second opinion, and glad I did. I had to get my medical records from my old doctor,, and yes I read my records, I counted 6 things that they did wrong, and yes you will all be shocked. Firt thing, I am not allergic to protonix, but to aciphex, they messed upon that. Then I had gone for severe stomach pains earlier this year, and they said it was from the flu virus, that is false. I also found out and they never told me that I do have erosive esophagitis, they never told me, and they never told me I have a small Hiatal hernia, they found during my barium exam, and yes it gives me problems, because I have GERD. I am pretty mad with this doctor, my old doctor. My new doctor is finally going to help me. He gave me carafate, more nexium, and said not to bend over after eating, and he is going to give me a gastroscopy to look in the stomach area, which should have been done. If there is irritation, they will do a PH monitor in me and if it's high finally surgery, close up the hernia, and hopefully I will be okay. Iam excited and scared at the same time. I know my GERD is bad if I were to stop medication now, I would be in a lot of pain. Just wanted to share, when in doubt get a second opinion!!

Oh Hey!! Wow it's been ages since I've chatted with you, how is everyone doing on the housewives club board? I should just go on over. Wow, I had no idea you were having the same problems too. Small world. Yeah the Nexium I am on is helping somewhat. I had some carafate but had to get off because it was irritating my stomach. UGH!! I hope they can fix this because last week I was in a lot of pain. I am kinfd of scared about the gastroscopy being done, but I really want to know what's up with that too. Next week I get everything done, I'll post back with all the latest and greatest heheheh.
Take care,
Jessica
