gastric ulcers

Two weeks ago i was experiencing severe stomach cramping. I ended up being in the hospital for a couple days. After ruling out a few things the doctors thought it was, it turned out to be gastric ulcers. I was sent home and told to take a dose of prilosec otc in the morning and another one at night.
For awhile it seemed to be helping, but all of a sudden it seems to have taken a turn for the worse. I`m back to being in a bunch of stomach pain with really no explanation. I go to my Dr. tomorrow for a check up, but right now i`m just curious how others have been treated for ulcers and how smooth their recovery was. Is there anything out there that`s "safe" to take for the pain? I`m very uncomfortable at work and can`t really afford to lose any more days being sick....

Here are some stomach soothers, although you need to be sure they are OK with your doctor. Some teas are pretty safe anyway, but if you don't normally drink them, don't start without checking with your doc, OK?

<hi ask your Dr. about your smal intesten, thats the one is connectet to you Anas.
I had that trouble and still have once in a while, the stick me into the Hospital, with no Food, just a lot of water, IVWITH MDS. SHOTS A LOT OF THEM AND bLOOD ,EVERY 4 HRS.STAY ABOUT A WEEK TILL YOUR bLOOD IS OKAY.
So sorry you're feeling bad.
Whatever you do, don't take aspirin or ibuprofen (Nurofen, Aleve, etc). They just irritate the stomach lining and can cause bleeding.
Paracetamol/acetaminophen (Panadol, Tylenol) are okay, and so is codeine.
Good luck!
