Reflux, lump in throat and belching

I'm a mess. I know my diet is to blame but I can't get back on track. I've been under some stress and have been eating all the wrong things for the past few months. I'm really starting to feel the impact of it now and wondered if anyone else has experienced this.
I have the feeling of a lump in my throat which makes me want to keep swallowing, I have constant belching because I feel like there's pressure in my esophogus and stomach and constant reflux.
I have been prescribed Aciphex but recently ran out and have been using an OTC acid reducer. The Aciphex didn't really seem to be doing anythign and neither does the OTC pill.

I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling so poorly. Yes, eating the wrong foods and not eating properly can cause all kinds of problems, which you are seeing.
Has the stressor been eliminated yet? Try doing a food journal and after a few days, you should see a pattern. Once you have it written in black and white, you can decide what changes to make. It is always a good idea to start slowly, since your body doesn't need more to help it rebel.

It sounds like you are probably swallowing too much air, which then causes belching. You need to see your Dr. to get your medications changed, if they aren't helping. That, along with slowly changing your diet back to the correct foods should help a lot!
Please visit anytime and be sure to make an appointment to see your doc...and let us know what is suggested and how you are doing, OK?
