Gas bloating and more

I have lurked on here for a long time now, but I am seeing no end in sight to my problem and am looking for some advice.
For the last 4 months or so I have had digestive issues. My stomach is constantly aching and I feel full of gas all the time. When I go to the bathroom I pass a lot of gas, but (TMI) usually it come with liquid leakage as well. A lot of the time there is also some blood and the stool that a pass is small and pea like and light in color. Every now and then I will get a small but normal looking stool. I usually have a sudden urge to go about 10-20 minutes after I eat ANYTHING.
Some background on this. I went to the doctor at the end of july and she said I just had Hemmoroids and she gave me some pepcid pills to take and said to eat vegetable and "roughage". She did a blood test as well as exam. On top of this my long term boyfriend and I broke up in August and I ended up moving and changing jobs as a result and a whole lot of stress which I am sure did not help. I have been doing fine for the last month or so and was hoping it would just go away by now. I am totally embarrased to go anywhere because I might have to go to the bathroom. Since I changed jobs, I do not have insurance for another 6 weeks, so although I know that I need to go, the doctor is not an option yet. Should I be taking in more fiber? I have read to take fiber and also not to take fiber on the message boards. Any advice would be appreciated to reduce my embarrasment until I can go to a doctor.
THANKS!

Welcome, I apologize for not responding sooner...sometimes life happens and I am not able to be online as much as I'd like to be.
What you are describing sounds a lot like IBS, but of course we are not doctors here.
I usually have a sudden urge to go about 10-20 minutes after I eat ANYTHING.
The 'good' thing about this is that you aren't constipated, but it does make it near impossible to leave the house.

<Thanks for the Help. I was thinking IBS, but the more I read about it, I think it might be something else. I bought some natural supplements at costco that you take everyday to help with IBS, but after two weeks I have not seen any improvement. I have also lost some weight over the last few months, but this is a combo of the break-up and moving in with my dieting parents.
One thing I am unsure of is if I am constapated or if this is diarrhea. My "urge to go" is usually all gas with a small amount of light/reddish distcharge and rarely anything with substance (They look like small fat deposites the size of peas). Is there anything over the counter I could try temporarily?
Thanks again for the article.
You are probably sick of reading articles, but here are a few more that might contain that one bit of info that you need.

The break-up and living with your parents who happen to be dieting can both be adding to your tummy troubles, but definitely something is going on. I wish I could offer more help, but seeing a doctor will be your best bet. Hopefully you won't lose too much more weight while you wait for your insurance to kick in!
